Prorated rent = monthly rent ÷ actual days in the month × days occupied

This calculator counts the move-in date and every remaining day in that month. It handles February and leap years automatically. Only the final charge is rounded to cents; the displayed daily rate is rounded for readability.

A lease or local rule may use a different method or determine whether prorating is required. This tool calculates an example, not the amount legally owed under every rental agreement.
